Our form gets better and other shenanigans

So... getting on in the season and all of a sudden we really started to find some form. Josh in particular went on a huge improvement curve. This opened up new sections of the hill for us and we've been taking on the back bowls and drop offs at the back of Lake Louise. Really exciting and sometimes scary stuff.

This photo was taken about 20 minutes before we took on the hardest run at Lake Louise. I didn't really handle it that well and may have had to shed a few tears when I made it to the bottom (just to release some tension you know). Decided I still have some work to do before I'm ready to shoot down a narrow run with drop offs and rocks on both sides and a strong wind whipping around me!! * Josh and Fiona made it down fine :) [But i too had some mental issues to deal with when i did it for the first time the day before - JMcD]

These are some of the scenes we've been riding in... so cool :)

This was a highlight in the backbowls of lake louise on the 'Hikers Paradise' ridgeline. We hiked along here in the sunshine.

We stopped for some photos at the final peak before cutting some fresh tracks down the far side

Fi loves a good challenge.. she's been setting the bar for us all season.

and how cool does my boyfriend look!!

There's people in these shots below.. [The first is the face we rode down from the peak, then Me riding a huge 'wave' of snow on the right after dropping in off the cornice above - JMcD]

Warmer Weather
Did we mention the weather's been getting warmer!!! Thank goodness.. no more balaclavas needed on the hill. All of a sudden you can have a beer on the deck in sunshine. Absolute bliss for us Aussies. All of the ski bogans goal is to get a ski goggle tan (Being a little bit older and more mature I'm trying desperately to avoid it).

When the wind drops off we can have a late arvo sunbake and beverage if so inclined. - JMcD

Tobogganing under the moonlight
We'd been talking about it for weeks and finally - we hit the toboggan slopes at night under a full moon. It was absolutely hilarious, if not a bit painful!

We were trying all sorts of formations... linking arms, forming stars, going backwards - yep, so mature...

Carnage... Fi didn't get up from this one for a while.. damn kicker!

More carnage...

More Visitors
The visitors kept rolling in. Alex and Isabella, friends of Matt Panousi's came into town and upped the partying levels for a while..

What a boyfriend..
Josh treated me to a day at the Banff Fairmont Spa for a beautifully, relaxing indulgent afternoon for our anniversary. This is us just after an hour massage and float in the mineral springs and that was our view...
