Wet, windy but lovely Wales

We hired a car and cruised over to Wales for the weekend in August. They have some of the best beaches in the UK and we were looking forward to some surf and sunshine. We got the surf, a few glimpses of sunshine and lots of drizzle.

Still, great to check it out.

We stayed at the Mumbles on the Gower Peninsula just past Swansea..


Day trip to Tenby. This is a beautiful town that I would love to go back to in sunshine..

It was very, very windy...

It was our responsibilities as Aussies to go for a surf. Don't be fooled by the blue sky in the following photos, it was windy and cold. It was great to get in some decent surf until we lost feeling in our toes.. Josh literally turned blue!
