Snow Monday

It was the biggest snow dump in London in more than 20 years. and will be one of our most memorable days in London.

In Canada everyone is used to snow and don't really get excited unless it's a ridiculous dump. But here in London it was the most snow a lot of people had ever seen. The city shut down, no buses, no tubes, school and work cancelled.. it was awesome. and you have never seen so many happy adults in your life. Everyone just went outside and played all day. There was hundreds of snow men in the park, snowball fights everywhere you looked and happy people. For a time of year that is supposed to have the most break ups and depression reported than ever other time of the year.. this was something else! London has never been so friendly. Everyone was saying hi to each other, chatting, laughing.. ah. good times.

A cross country skier?? Bizarre..

unfortunately living so inner city can have its disadvantages. I could actually get to work. Luckily it just served as a lunch break before heading back into the park. About an hour after I arrived our boss sent around the 5 out of 50 staff who'd made it in home. Yay!

These snowballs lasted for the rest of the week they were so hardpacked.

Snow angels in Hyde Park

Some friendly people let us have a go on their toboggan. Pity Hyde Park doesn't really have any big hills.

I finally got Josh out of the park. and then it was time for some apres ski in the pub.
