London Festival Season

I'm starting to suspect Josh enjoys the food at festivals more than the music!! no, never.. but he does get excited. Look at him!

Lovebox Festival
This festival came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. We had a lot of fun over the two days. It was a beautiful weekend. We had some threatening clouds come across but nothing ever eventuated. Groove Armada were amazing (but we got a bit squished in the crowd), GoldFrapp was excellent, Manu Chau was really fun (but he does start to sound the same after a while) and we spent quite a bit of time in the DJ tent having a good boogie!!

I wear my sunglasses at night...

Groove Armada..

Beautiful night skys

Another Pimms or two :)
This african band was amazing. It's always tough to play the mid afternoon set on teh main stage but they had the whole crowd up and moving in no time.. Ended up being a little dust cloud above us as we stomped around..

O2 Wireless.
Once again Shane pulled through with tickets (he got tickets for me and Tara in 2006 as well). The highlight was us was Powderfinger. I haven't seen them for years and they still rock live. It was a classic stormy day, but as Powderfinger played the sun came out and the rest of the night was fine!!

Josh feeling it again..

Rise Festival
This was the mayor's annual free festival in Finsbury Park. Rise Festival was massive!! I don't think we realised how many people would be there, but we were determined to go because Sharon Jones and the Dappa Kings were playing and we both love them. Josh and I have been missing them by just a week, or a month everywhere we've travelled over the last couple of years so we were pretty excited. However, sharon and her crew missed their ferry or something and arrived late. We only got the privilege of about a 20min set - so we still want more! She's great though..
